Dr. Howard Choi was born and raised in a northern suburb of Chicago, Illinois. He received his DDS degree in 2004 from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York, where he graduated in the top tier in his class. During his time at Columbia University, he received an award for his extensive dental research, taught as an assistant, and became senior editor for the Columbia Dental Review Journal.
After graduation, Dr. Choi moved back to Chicago to continue his education in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters in Oral Sciences. During his residency, Dr. Choi conducted research that concentrated on orthodontic practice management programs. His research was published into a book and accepted for publication in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
When Dr. Choi is not delivering award winning smiles to his patients, he enjoys basketball, golf, and traveling. He is an accomplished musician of the guitar, piano and violin. He admittedly is a “foodie”, and never passes up the opportunity to try new and diverse food selections. He is an enthusiastic Cubs fan, and politely asks that any White Sox fans not hold that against him.
